Adams Creative make L&Q Group Design Awards shine

When leading UK housing association L&Q Group chose to outsource the branding, production and management of its Design for Living Awards 2007 to a fully integrated marketing agency, the Association called on Adams Creative.

Adams Creative was tasked with making this year's Awards the best ever. The agency wasted no time developing an effective brand, look and feel for the event. Its studio designed the invitation and all printed collateral; its digital media team produced all of the audiovisual including a five minute DVD presentation; and its PR team planned and managed the event on the night and undertook media relations on behalf of L&Q Group.

Commenting on the successful co-ordination of this multi-disciplined project, Chris Middleton, Head of Communications said: "The Design for Living awards are becoming a major part of the L&Q calendar so it was important for us to get a company on board who understood our message, our audience and our brand, and were also able to work with our in-house team to make the night a success. I am glad to say Adams Creative managed all of this and more."

The Design for Living Awards recognised excellence in the provision of homes by the L&Q Group. Held at New London Architecture (NLA) on 26th September 2007, the event was attended by over 170 architects, developers and L&Q representatives, making it the highlight of the Group's corporate calendar.

Managing Director of Adams Creative, Mike Adams was also pleased with the results: "As an integrated agency we enjoy being able to offer clients everything they need from a single source. This multifaceted project utilised a wide variety of the agency's skills and we were thrilled with the success of the event."

Adams Creative focused its energy on achieving the goals L&Q set for this project: creating an enjoyable and celebratory occasion for all the attending guests, while raising the profile of L&Q and increasing awareness of its key messages among the architectural and construction sectors. This was achieved through extensive, direct media correspondence, resulting in several key industry magazines publishing articles on the event and national daily newspaper, The Times, running a feature article on the winning development.
