"...it was important for us to get a company on board who understood our message, our audience and our brand..."

Company details London and Quadrant Group (L&Q) is a leading housing association in the UK, managing over 50,000 homes across London and the South East.

Objective Adams Creative was tasked with managing, branding and publicising two major award ceremonies for L&Q: the highlight of L&Q’s corporate calendar, the Design for Living Awards, was held at New London Architecture and was attended by over 170 partner architects, developers and stakeholders. The Creating Places Awards was a new initiative to celebrate and recognise L&Q’s outstanding residents. The ceremony was held at the prestigious Café Royal and the awards were presented by celebrity guest Shaun Williamson.

Strategy The Adams PR team managed the events from start to finish, invited journalists and promoted them to the local, national and trade press. Adams also designed everything from the invitations to the trophies, and produced a five minute DVD which was presented at the Design for Living Awards and given to guests upon departure.

The result Both events were a tremendous success and guests had a great time. The events also generated positive publicity for L&Q among key audiences. In particular, national daily newspaper, The Times, published a double page spread on the winner of the Design for Living Awards in its Bricks and Mortar supplement in November 2007.

“The Design for Living awards are becoming a major part of the L&Q calendar so it was important for us to get a company on board who understood our message, our audience and our brand, and were also able to work with our in-house team to make the night a success. I am glad to say Adams Creative managed all of this and more.”
